I am teaching myself CAD at the prompting of my boss. I have the latest version of Autodesk's Auto CAD software and have been able to draft some very nice drawings (mostly flat parts). I have a lot of questions about CAD and was wondering if there where any experienced CAD users that are members here. If so would you mind answering a few questions?
Reply:Greetings: I started teaching myself AutoCad R10. Took a long time to kinda get sorta good at it. I took one 3 day seminar at the local university and learned more in 3 days than the previous 2 years of ****ing with it. In short, check with the local community college for PM classes or perhaps an online course from AutoDesk. You'll be glad you did.
Reply:Thanks for the reply dcamac1 I plan to sign up for some classes for sure. My boss offered to pay for them and this is what got me started in the first place. I thought I would show him that I had some initiative by getting a head start on my own but now he was happy with the drawings that i turned in and he expects more. only thing is he is wanting more advanced drawings now such as exploded views etc. I think he will have to go ahead and pony up the dollars and let me get some real instruction.
