I have some balcony rails that I made and the cust wants them powdercoated. they are steel tubing framed with new orleans style cast iron decorative panels welded in with ni 99. Will the heat of the powdercoating process cause any damage to the welds, or possibly make them crack.thankssteveBTS Welding
Reply:Steve, we do that stuff all the time and dont have any problems. Your good to go. I have put cast to tubing with ni-rod , flux-core and hard wires and if they bust off its not the powder coating process but more likely brittle welds. The best parts to use are the ones with a steel insert cast in. |
