I recently purchased a used Miller Syncrowave 351.  I have been trying to locate the pulser option for it but Miller has discontinued it.  They suggested I contact all of thier distributors nationwide and possibly someone would have one sitting on the shelf.  This of course would take me hours to not only find all of the phone numbers but to actually make the calls.Could I possibly ask everyone to contact thier local Miller distributors and look for part number 042646.  It is the field service kit for the pulser option on a Miller Syncrowave 351.  I will be more than happy to pay a finders fee to who ever may be able to locate one for me.Thanks.Richard
Reply:Fresno Oxygen has a pulser 042646 in stock (1 only). $228Fresno,CA1-559-233-6684  good luck.no fee.
Reply:Thank you very much, just called and ordered it and it will ship out tomorrow.  If there is ever anything I can do for you, just let me know.Richard
Reply:Wow, less than three hours & Richard has the part that he needed.  Way to go KEENAVV.This is a prime example of why I really like message boards - more or less complete strangers helping each other out.We need a "thumbsup" smilie. I'm a man.But I can change. If I have to.I guess...

Reply:I found that welder  .  Was at my metal supplier and there was a really nice old gentleman there and i started up a conversation with him.  Talked to him for about 20 minutes, he had some great stories!  Said he had a tig welder for sale that he didnt use.  How was his machine shop compchassis?  He told me if i needed anything machined to contact him and gave me his card.  Hows the welder work? You like it?  Good to see that you joined the forums.  Moral of the story respect your elders and be nice and you never know what it will get you!
Reply:Blownnova, you must be the friend of a friend of a friend that I got the number from.  LOLWelder is in excellent condition, he had never even wired it up or turned it on.  It was originally purchased in may of 97, he bought it in 2001 and it had been sitting every since.  It had the preflow timer in it when I bought it, and I have since located the start crater board and the pulser board.  Got them both installed yesterday and machine works good, other than I have to get a bigger feed line for it, likes to pop a 60 amp breaker. He is the nicest old guy, when I went to look at it the first time we BSed for a long time.  The guy is more than just a machinist, he is an artist with metal.  He has darn near a full machine shop in his back yard, horizontal mills, vertical mills, lathes, heat treat ovens, band saws etc etc etc.  He showed me pictures of a transmission he built from scratch for a 19something indy car.  The owner of the indy car is trying to get him to build an entire engine for another car he owns. When I went back to pick up the welder we started to BS again and talked about airplanes, cars, etc and he asks, did I tell you I owned a Ford GT40?  Proceeds to pull out pictures of a yellow GT40.  Goes on with the story about how with the small block in it it was kind of a pig and didnt handle very well.  Continues to hand me pictures and then says, but when I put this engine in it, man, then it became a car.  Shows me a pic of it with the rear hatch open and sitting in the car is a ford indy car dual over head cam engine with the injectors that ran down the center of the valve cover.  Anyway, the guy has forgotten more than I will probably ever know.PS, if you know anyone looking for a Miller 180SD, I am selling mine since I got this bigger machine.
Reply:I have this welder for rmetal scupturesYou will love it.  It will fire off at 1 amp
Reply:He told me about the gt40 car he had, sold it to someone and the guy flipped it end over end on a race track very shortly after.  I would like to go see his machine shop and stuff still, he seems like a good connection to have and hes generally nice too.  I'm the guy that looked at your roof a while back .  BTW im lookin for a 1966 chevy II hardtop if you see one come up, unrestored prefferably!
