I have the Lincoln Electric 100 ... from Canadian Tire.. Couple questions.  Can I get a good enough weld, that I can weld up a trailer?  Also, the fluxcore versus the gas... what do you recommend?  Can I get stronger welds with the gas?  Or should I just stick with the flux core?  Thanks
Reply:FCAW will yield greater penetration.  Unless you are building a trailer out of 1/8" steel and plan to haul around practically nothing on it, that is NOT the welder for the job.
Reply:I am gonna say you are just flat out under gunned (under powered) for a job as big and as critical as I invision any trailer being. With that machine if you do anything other than sheet metal work, by all means use flux core.Edit to say: oops, mac was quicker at the key board than me. So I'll just ditto mac.
