how thick material (normal mild steel) can you weld with a 145 amp DC stick machine?145 A at 25 V, 20% duty cycle100 A at 25 V, 60% duty cycle
Reply:The general rule is .001 per amp. Stick may go a little more so i would guess 3/16 for an expirienced welder. That's single pass. for multiple passes there is no limit if you have enough time.
