I would love for you guys who have invested in reading material on how to TIG to put up your recommendations on some really good books or videos.  I think I need to take the plunge since Zap's Video Production is not coming out until the end of the year (I know a little presumptuous). I need help on TIG I am chewing threw electrodes and cups like they are going out of style.  Aside from the occassional stupidity (last night I was trying to tack weld 2 pieces of 1/2 inch steel together and forgot to turn on the gas bottle) needless to say by the time the sparks settled the cup was entirely encased in molten steel.  I just can't find the right speed and puddle control for the dip.  I either stick the rod or blow it away with the arc.  I think reading or a video of watching someone execute good form will go a long way.  Any reading recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Michael
Reply:Miller has a good book on tig.  They also have a CD.  Best value is the Miller Student Package for $25.http://www.millerwelds.com/education/tools/#booksDennisThermal Arc 185-TSWMillermatic Challenger 172VictorO/AAtlas Craftsman 12 by 24 LatheEsab PCM-875Wholesalem Tool Mill-Drill
