Hello anyone out there i am having trouble getting myrecently purchashed 110 mig machine to penetrate into the base metals .023 wire with the machine set highest setting using argon gas any help would be great thanks Dan
Reply:is it on the correct polarity? what kind of machine is it? Give some info on the machine and maybe we can help you. Mig should be a 75/25 mix. Or 100% CO2 I think. Reply:have any pics? whats the base metal? what model lincoln? what kind of joint? is your input to the welder sufficient? what technique are you using?is this your first attempts at welding? if not, what have you done before?
Reply:trying to weld steel but joints the weld seems to puddle up instead of penetrate it is a strong weld tried speeding up and slowing down usually weld 6011 or 7018 or 6013 stick weld not an expert by a long shot finished up with the 6013 stick machine is the 110 machine to small ? |
