purchasing a welder

I am looking at a TB350D welder, just wondering if the with the new electronic stuff, is this a good welder?  I am just a hobby welder and currently have a miller matic 135, and want a portable welder that will last and I am pulling towards a diesel driven welder versus's gas.  I have been shopping around, i have looked at a few such as the bobcat diesel, and if I am going to spend that much, I think I might be better off getting the Trailblazer 350 D.  Can someone give me there opinions on different types of diesel welders.  I have heard these new ones have a lot of "electronic boards" has anyone run into problems with them? is there something I should be aware about.  This welder I am purchasing is just for home/farm use.  I have a lots of odds and ends kind of jobs around here,  that i am needing a good portable welder for.  I am also planning on getting a plasma 625.  I am building a pipe fence around the acreage.
