Need some help with heat in part of my shop

Need some help with heat in my shopGuys I just hate to throw stuff away to a landfill. So as a machine shop owner, I try to make use in some way of everthing my hands touch. One half of my shop is for welding , cutting, grinding and such and it is not heated by anything except a propane heater like you would use in the field. This part of the shop is 20' by 40' long with a 12' ceiling. What I'm looking for from you guys is a design to use in making a heater with forced air that I can mount outside of the 40' wall where I have a lean 3,,,,lol,,,,,where I keep my toys ya see. I call it a lean 3 because the weld part of my shop started out as a lean 2,,,,,lol,,,till I enclosed it and then had to find a place to keep my toys for an ole'fart like me dry,,,,,(49 Nov. 16, 06),,,,2 four wheelers, a rail buggy, jet ski, pontoon boat, TM125, TM250, TM400 Suzuki motorcross bikes, I know, the bikes are almost as old as me, but I still love 2-strokes. Anyway, I'm not near as artistic as most of you seem to be, so rather than try to reinvent the wheel, I thought I'd just ask you guys if you have a design or can point me in the right direction to get a print of what I need to build. I want to be able to burn all this garbage I get in the mail rather than it go to a land fill. Thanks for any help you may have,,,, ,,,,Oh yes, let me offer to any of you my machine shop work as I love to help build a new idea. We are a CNC mill and turning shop with all the manual stuff to support CNC,,,,,,
Reply:i kneed some more info I am a licensed heating and Ac man I think you are telling me you want to mount a forced air furnace out side the wall of the shop and blow it back in the wellding shop or is it going in the lean 3 I am not clear  I have seen one if you want to get fancy buy a modine shop furnace but I under stand you might want to burn paper wood etc I saw a build looked like 2 bbq pits one on top of the other the first was the fire box a flew came out of it and in to the other a rude heat exchanger with the flew coming out of it in the opisite end as the entering one then a damper would be good in the rising flew and you wool need cumbustion air wholes in the fire box and any fan you have will work and a sheet metal duct if needed to duct from lean 3 to lean 2 I hope some of this is helpfull
Reply:Thanks so much 7mJDM as that's what I may have to do,,,,,you have the general idea of what I'm wanting to do, see when ever we do work that side of the shop, just the work alone will break the chill but it takes awhile for that to happen,,,,,,lol,,,,,so if I can get rid of some paper before it makes it to the land fill and help warm the place up some at the same time,,,all the better.
