Hello my name is Jim I have never posted before but enjoy checking the site every day since I signed on. I have been welding for a long time ,mostly wrought iron and aluminum railing, gates ,spiral stairs, you name it. Now I need help. I have a Linde Migmaster 225 about 15 years old runs good except the relay sometimes sticks ,the wire keeps coming ,file the points O.K for a while. Since Linde is out of business and is now Esab my dist. can't help me. The part number is relay 950371 . I hope someone can help,I lose 10' of wire everytime it sticks. Anyway really enjoy the site . Thanks.
Reply:Good to have ya. I know nothing about the part, but is there any possiblity of using some other relay (maybe even a solid state relay)...these thinks are typically pretty simple. Some electronics catalogues sell a relay along with a base, so you can just pull one out and stick another in if it fails. If your part has some specs on it, you might be able to match it with something more common along those lines. Also, you might want to ask your question in the electronics section...Smithboy...if it ain't broke, you ain't tryin'.
Reply:Definately should be able to wire in a different relay. All you would need to find out is the coil voltage of the old one then find one that is the same.
Reply:Or find the manufacturer of the relay.. Linde didnt make it, is it a sanyo? Dana? It should have a part number right on the relay.Various GrindersVictor Journeyman torch200cf Acet. 250cf oxygenLincoln 175 plus/alpha2 gunLincoln v205t tigLincoln 350mpEsab 650 plasmaWhen you can get up in the morning, Its a good day.Live each day like its your last.
