Hello, I need some help in determing if I'm about to buy a pig in a poke or not! A friend has an older blue colored mig. No name on it but he believes it is a century/lincoln. It has the large spool on top, not the side mount. The markings along the front bottom say model 117-009 160amp 60%duty cycle Century. (I thought all century's were red?) Anyways I'm needing a mig around the 210amp range on occasion and don't need 60%duty cycle all that often. Does anybody have a clue as to what the high end of the amp range is on this machine or better yet...know about it? I've got to act fairly fast and just don't want to buy some junk. Price will be pretty good, it has a bottle attached too. Web offers nothing on this model # regarding century. I couldn't even find a real century site!! Hellllp!
Reply:That model number matches up with a Powermate 160A MIG welder. You might try searching for something like that. |
