My name is mike I just joined the forum.I am atattoo artist and own my own shop.I build antique custom cars any time I have a free moment.I am in The Rumblers car club.I am currently building a 58 ford and having welding problems. My garage burned down 6 months ago with my 55 olds in it.I just started using my welder again and my small lincoln mig welder isn't working well. The fan won't come on but spins freely by hand any suggestions. Also gas is not coming out when I pull the trigger.I just got a new tank today and have checked all the hose and gas is going through but not out of the trigger.PLEASE if anyone has any suggestions send them my way. Thanks for any help, mike

Reply:That happened to me once. The fan went on my old miller thunderbolt ac buzzbox. I took the two wires that came off the fan and hooked them to a fan I got off a dead plasma cutter and it worked so I knew it was just the fan went bad.
Reply:how many wires are on that fan motor..?? *some* welders have 4 wires off the fan, which doubles as the 'power supply' for the trigger and gas valve... |
