Reply:Smith setups go for 200-250 on Ebay. I paid 300 through weldingsupply.com. This is all for the medium duty tool box outfit.

Reply:Do a search of this forum, it's been covered many times. Basically, to run propane, you need only to buy the special cutting tips. Smith very strongly recommends you use propane if you are only going to be cutting or brazing. They will answer any questions you have. In advance, no you don't need to change the hoses or regulators to run propane. Your hose will deteriorate a little more quickly, though. You may get 3-5 years instead of the standard 5-7. When the hose does eventually break down, replace it with the T grade hose. |
