I posted yesterday about my delima. I got my new welder in yesterday and was going to change the wire. Ended up twisting my diffuser into two pieces. Now I need a new gas diffuser with left hand threads to fit my  90 amp chicago electric cheap welder. A guy at the welding supply told me I needed a Binzel type parts with left hand female threaded end. He didn't have any small enough there. Can somebody give me some part numbers that can help me out here? ThanksWhitey
Reply:Here is a couple photos of the diffuser. It is in 2 pieces. Thanks Attached Images
Reply:I didn't see yesterday's post.  How did it break?  Do you have a manual?  Does it have a parts list?
Reply:That looks very much like the one in my Silver Beauty welder.  Seems like it was a copy of a small Miller gun like is shown here: http://www.htpweld.com/products/mig_...ts/miller.html
Reply:I have a manual and it does have a parts list but it does not list the gas diffuser. Just the torch cable, the contact tip, and the nozzle. I took the nozzle of per the instructions which said to turn counterclockwise and pull out. I did so and the nozzle came off but it also in the turning pushed the spring that set in the grooves on the diffuser out of the grooves and bent it badly. Anyway, I thread my new wire through. PUt on the tip and started to put on the nozzle but it was a no go. I tried to get the wire(spring) back in the grooves to "push" the nozzle back on. It is the push on type, I thought screw on since the directions said so. So I go to my LWS and the guy said the spring was damaged to bad. So we started to screw the gas diffuser off to put another one on and could not get it to turn. We tried with vise grips and I got it to turn alright, turned into 2 peices. Turned out it had left hand threads and I was actually tightening it till I turned it in to 2 peices. I finshed turning the broke have still attached to the torch  in the opposite direction (for left hand threads) and it came on off. ThanksWhitey
