I was wondering if anybody has a list of all the available certifications for weld tests and there letter/numbered name. I know there are state specific weld tests like the WABO (washington association of building officials) and then the industry standard AWS certs. But I think they all go by the same numbers.I wanted a list that had them all with the numbers, for example the 6G Pipe welding test. Light guage 3G and 4G and such, you know?
Reply:Its all in the book Lincoln puts out. The Procedure handbook for Acr welding. It covers most everything including welding quality and testing. Its only Twenty four bucks.David Real world weldin. When I grow up I want to be a tig weldor.
Reply:Only 24 bucks? A steal. Oh wait, I'm broke. NM
Reply:There is no such thing, at it would be impossible to compile such a list. There are literaly thousands of variables that can be included in a welding test.6G isn't a test, it's a position. Welding test's as a rule are specificaly tailored to the job being done, that is material, consumables, pre/post heat and interpass temp limits, number of passes, volt and amp ranges, position, ect, ect, ect, ect, ect.JTMcC. |
