another torch question?

Hello guys could someone tell me if this torch kit would be a good beginnerskit? It is a Victor performer 510 medium duty I can get it shipped to me for $226.28. Thanks for the Info.  BM
Reply:Hey Bassman,This somewhat depends on what you want to do the torch and how much you will use it.  If it is something you may rarely use (especially welding) I think it is a decent set.  If you think you may use it quite often, I would go with the Victor Journeyman (or Journeyman II).  The II is about $100 more than your setup, but in my opinion it is definitely worth the extra $$.  I own the Journeyman and the lighter duty set and to me there is no comparison between the two.It really depends on your use, not trying to talk you into spending more money.  This is only my opinion and someone else my disagree.  I have used the Journeyman for many, many hours and I don't think there is a better torch out there.Hope this helps,Thanks,JasonMillermatic 210 w/ SpoolgunMiller 375 ExtremeMiller Trailblazer 250GMiller AEAD 200-LEVictor Journeyman O/A
