Learning Welding DVDs: Who makes the best?

I am a novice stick welder and I want to learn more advanced techniques for SMAW and TIG (as I plan on upgrading to a inverter AC Stick/TIG).My immediate goal is to build a welding table, small trailer for my 4 wheeler to pull offroad and eventually a high rack for a truck.I think that I would need to learn advanced techniques for AC TIG aluminimum and steel with round and square tubes to do what I want.Who makes a DVD series that has basics to advanced? I don't mind buying a few in a series if that's what it takes.Thanks in advance for the help. I've learned alot just from reading here.bd
Reply:My vote is for the Ron Covell "TIG basics" and the HTP "World of TIG welding."For a condensed version, here are some good ones from Zap:If you watch Zap's first one very carefully, you will pick up pretty much all you need to know.Last edited by phila.renewal; 08-06-2007 at 12:04 PM.Favorite right now is a Miller Syncro 200.Tons of tools and I blame at least one of them when things don't go right.

Reply:I found this: How to Arc Weld: Tips, Tricks and Procedures hosted by Joe Levandoski.  It's much more basic, but it covers basic fabrication procedures and it's 91 minutes long. All of the videos at Amazon seem to be ripoffs based on the reviews.  Most of them are very expensive, very short and are really just previews of the welding industry--one of them is $280 for a 20 minute video!!.Here's the link:
