Hey Guys.... I was at the steel place yesterday buying some stock when I saw a guy pull out a round metal device that had notches cut in it... It looked like a large spark plug gapper... Where do you get on of these? I want one! Let me know.. Take care.. Marc
Reply:A guage? Try your local welding supply. If not there, then google it.

Reply:Ya, they are handy.
Reply:yup, use em all the time. Ours has some fractional, decimal and gauges all on one.Have we all gone mad?
Reply:I had one in the sheetmetal shop I use to work in but most of the stuff I worked with was either 24, 26 or 28 gauge and sone 22 and 20 gauge but if you work with it enough you can tell the difference buy feel. Whenver I worked with anything else I had to find that gauge, but it wasnt often I had to work with anything else.
Reply:Not to sound like some kind a Smart A$$But cant you approximately measure the thickness with your eyes, because in the metric system, The normal thickness you can buy is 0.5,1,1.5,2,3,4,5,6,8,10,12,15mm plate, and i can mostly tell them apart from one another.¤If you got money, i've got time |
