How much are tanks in your area?

Their rediculous here  A 122CF is 295$ to buy filled with Oxy or 169$ for the deposit and first years lease ..See the problem is there are two companies who have the whole eastern part of Ky pretty much manopolized. theres not much you can do about it if your gonna get a tank here..

Reply:On a whim, I looked at Ram Welding Supply online. They used to sell every size there was to anyone. Now, all I can find there and anywhere online is 80cf max.

Reply:Yep, their trying to clean me out all right 122CF of oxy refill is 26$80CF of tri-mix is about 70$here in Ky you can own any size you want but you wll pay dearly for it.
Reply:I'm near Chattanooga. I bought a 330cf argon bottle from a retiring trailer builder for $50, it was full when I got it. My LWS swaps it for a full one for $35 out the door, no questions asked.Miller EconotigCutmaster 38Yes ma'am, that IS a screwdriver in my pocket!
Reply:KYBoy,I feel your pain.  My local gas passer has a monopoly as well and he just won't budge on the tanks. I paid #225 for 125cf Argon tank and then another $47 to fill it. Reply:In philadelphia, an 80 runs about $100 and an argon or C25 fill is just shy of 20 bucks.  My LWS will even upsize bottles for free, but an 80 is big enough for me as I need to be able to carry it here and there by myself without slipping a disk. There seems to be plenty of healthy competition here.  Similar prices for other consumables when compared to other markets.  Not exactly dirt cheap, but not raking anyone over the coals either.Favorite right now is a Miller Syncro 200.Tons of tools and I blame at least one of them when things don't go right.
