By best I really mean bang-for-the-buck. Looking for something to compliment my new Dynasty 200 out on the road so it needs to run on 110v and be light weight and easy to carry if need be.I really don't much care what brand just want to know what is out there and felt this forum would give me the most un-biased opinions as far as brand loyalty is concerned...not saying you guys aren't brand loyal....just not all to the same one!!Miller Dynasty 700Miller 350P with Aluma-pro push-pullMiller 280 Dynasty with expansion card Dynasty 200 DXMigMax 215 Enuff power and hand tools to create one of anything..... but mass produce nothing!!!

Reply:why not fab your own? $40 for a PROCON pump, ~$70 for a maching motor, ~$80 for necessary connectors/hoses, and a small radiator from ebay? then put an AC fan on it and fab up a containment box and voila!
Reply:You cana get a PROCON pump for $40 on ebay?I have not searched around, but I thought they were more expensive than that.  Here is a refurbished one for $130, and a new one for $238.  http://198.170.235.20/catalog/web_st...d=4819775_2458I exchanged a used one for a rebuilt several years ago, and I think it must of cost around $70?

Reply:Originally Posted by gnm109That looks like a good deal, except the pump is rather large for TIG. you'd have to deal with 200 psi and the gallons per hour in some way.
Reply:This may not be  the best small cooler, but for a low-buck, simple, and efficient one it can't be beat.  I never used this myself, it came with my IHC, hooked up with an old Trailblazer 4G, the tig torch and tungstens I got with it support it, this was capable of cooling a 400 amp plus setup.  Return line dumped about two inches above a simple kitchen strainer, spreads the water and releases the heat, very similar to the old water-cooled engines from the old days . . . Reply:The BEST cooler? The one with the BEER in it, of course....what'd I win???
