I finally was able to get me a welder. I bought a Thermal Arc Dragster 85. But I know have a big problem The gauges werent showing any pressure for the tank. So I pulled the gauges off and it had little screws in the inlet holes See Pic. Which is the right way for the gauge to operate. Left or Right. The left looks like it would work but it came with both plugged. But after checking both ways i thought i would check the tank it self, and a little gas came out but then non after that. that leads me to belive the safety valve blew on the tank, cuz while I was driving I heard a really loud pop like a tire blowing out. nothing was wrong with my truck so I thought nothing of it but i guess thats what happened. So I guess I will go to the store on monday and get new tank. Any advice on the gauges would be great. Sorry for the such a big pic
Reply:As far as I know..Guages come as they come..You can just turn the valve on the tank open with no guages and listen..If there's gas in there you'll hear it for sure!I take the new tanks we get and before I put the guages on I'll blow off a little of whatever gas it is..Blows the crap out of the threads......zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
Reply:I do the same as Zap but make a note not to do it if you get any combustable gases...they can friction ignite and you wouldn't like that.Anything worth doing is worth doing RIGHT |
