okay... i got this stuff the other night...http://www.homedepot.ca/webapp/wcs/s...k=P_PartNumberit works GREAT!!!! i sprayed it onto my practice piece and laid a decent bead with my LE 100HD. a soon as i started to use the brush on thebead, the spatter came right off... i have to admit, when i bought it i wasa littel skeptical, but not any more. any work i do that requires any sort of decent finish, i will spray this stuff on there first. it leaves a little bit of a odor while welding, but it's nothing that one can't get used to.anyway, to my question... i also bought a 10-pack of .035 tips and was wondering if it was a good idea to spray the tips with the anti-spatter spray before i start welding? i don't see anything wrong with it, but i wanted to make sure before i started breaking my machine.thanks!Later,Andy
Reply:There should be no problem with it. After all they make a nozzle dip that you dip the whole nozzle and contact tip in to reduce spatter. -Gollum
Reply:Non stick cooking spray is only $1.29.....zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
Reply:A stiff 2 or 3 inch putty knife will outlast several cases of spray and take off all but the toughest of splatter.Anything worth doing is worth doing RIGHT

Reply:That stuff is pricey. I use a product called weld-kleen 350 by Weld-it. It comes concentrated, add water and spray. I get it in gallon bottles and dilute it 3-1 in a spray bottle. I got my last gallon for $12. I think works out cheaper than cooking spray, also. Good stuff for spraying your work table.

Reply:I use the nozzel gel and dip the nozzle in it when it's still hot before the next weld. It works very well to reduce spatter. It also helps to keep the tip very clean. The spray works well also. .Miller Millermatic 252Miller Syncrowave 200Liincoln AC-DC 225Victor O-A Set

Reply:I think there's some confusion going on here. "Anti-Splatter", "Nozzle Gel" or whatever else they name their product does nothing for your welded surfaces unless sprayed on the surface itself. If there is a difference noticed (as mentioned) on the sufaces of the weld material it is because you are doing something correct. Your nozzle/tip treatment didn't do it, it's just a coincidence.Anything worth doing is worth doing RIGHT
