is there any feasible way to convert my LE100HD into a TIG welder? i know you need a gas supply with TIG and the tungsten is not a filler material (unlike the constantly feeding electrode in MIG). i also understand that EVERYTHING for this woudl ahve to be custom made, but is it possible? i knwo it's not practical, nor is is very feasible probably, but is it possible?thanks,LaterAndy
Reply:Nope, completely different, can't be done.
Reply:#!$%!!! oh well... guess i got to go the expensive way and just get a TIG. the misses won't be happy, but oh well... i get a new toy!!!! hehehehehe! later,Andy
Reply:Just so you know, MIG is most commonly done with a constant voltage (CV)power supply, and TIG with a constant current (CC) supply, so a MIG cannot be converted to TIG. But, it is possible to MIG with CC, using a voltage sensing wire feeder.
