I woke up and did my normal thing of scouring the local online ads looking for a welder. This thing came along. It's old but man it's cheap. It kind of looks like an old miller 250 but I can't find any information on it.Does anybody know anything about it? Would it be suitable for roll cages, bumpers, etc.?http://raleigh.craigslist.org/tls/477936352.html

Reply:It says in the ad its a mig welder and from the pictures it loks like a 250 amp machine. So no you cant tig with it. Being that old I dont think it will be suitable for thin materials. The best thing to do is go look at it and see the amp range on the dial and see what kind of power it requires. I say buy it because its only 25.00. You could easily get your money back if you dont want it. (if it works)Last edited by WANNAWELD; 11-14-2007 at 08:55 AM.

Reply:Ya, if you buy it and it doesn't work or you don't want it take it apart and sell off parts, way more than $25 worth of parts.
Reply:It's worth that in copper...However, I have used a machine from that company before. They are nice. They were swallowed up by one of the bigger welding manufacurers, I forget which.Smithboy...if it ain't broke, you ain't tryin'.
Reply:Well I contacted him yesterday, a few hours he posted the ad and it was already sold. I did see this today so clearly you guys were right.http://raleigh.craigslist.org/tls/479695067.html
