Can Someone Give Me Some Advice On This Mig Welder. I Am Just A Hobby Welder & Have Never Mig Welded Only Stick Welding & Maybe Fair At Stick.i Am Looking At The 125 Ez Hobart For Welding Materials No Thicker Than 3/16" Mild Steel. Would I Have To Make To Many Passes To Use This Welder. Most Of The Time Metal Would Be Less Than 3/16" Mild Stell. Thanks For Your Help.
Reply:As long as you stay within those guidelines for material thickness, you'll be okay. I believe that is a Flux Wire ONLY welder. If you want less mess, look to get the Hobart 140 series that come with the gas hookup.John - fabricator extraordinaire, car nut!- bleeding Miller blue! http://www.weldfabzone.com
Reply:Agreed! 140 with gas is the best choise. Price: .035, ER70-6, co2 or c-25 gas. JohnSMAW,GMAW,FCAW,GTAW,SAW,PAC/PAW/OFCand Shielding Gases. There all here. :
Reply:Like was said above the 140 is a good one if you want to use gases.I checked on the hobart talk forum and everyone says the 125 ez is nice for the hobby person or beginner. It is easily adjustable and a good machine just no gas conversion.Fluxe-core only but I am thinking of trying one myself.pro-level dumpster diver Hobart 125EZ |
