silly question...How do yall store your rods and electrodes? I get most of mine from school or work so they rarely have containers. most of them are rolling around in the trunk of my car, randomly scattered in my tool box, or thrown in a big cardboard box in my basement. Wanna build some kinda rack gizmo to keep them dry and organized.... any suggestions?I like to party!
Reply:Do llike like many do, get an old refrigator. JohnSMAW,GMAW,FCAW,GTAW,SAW,PAC/PAW/OFCand Shielding Gases. There all here. :
Reply:For stick electrodes, I buy the plastic storage tubes with o-ring sealed screw-on lids that the local welding suppliers and Home Depot and Lowe's all sell. They come in different colors and styles and I just mark them with a permanent marker as to what diameter and type they are. The TIG and gas welding rods I keep in the plastic tubes they come in when I buy them at the welding supply. For storage, I stand the long rod tubes up next to the gas bottle and keep them in place with a piece of mig wire hooked to the gas bottle carrier's chain hooks.MM350P/Python/Q300MM175/Q300DialarcHFHTP MIG200PowCon300SMHypertherm380ThermalArc185Purox oaF350CrewCab4x4LoadNGo utilitybedBobcat250XMT304/Optima/SpoolmaticSuitcase12RC/Q300Suitcase8RC/Q400Passport/Q300Smith op |
