I was wondering about availability and cost of all in one type machines. I was going to buy a small mig, but would like the option of Tig and maybe stick. I wouldnt mind spending a bit more for a multi proccess machine, but is it worth it? I dont need huge amperage, and it will be run on 220V at my house. I would like to weld aluminum also, but I'm not sure of the machine requirements, like frequency, square wave, etc. Very new at this. Dads a retired pro, but I'm just learning at 35, go figure... We're going to be building some aluminum work stands from box tubing, and were thinking of renting a machine. I'd rather just buy a machine that can do it all. Sorry for the rambling. Any tips or advice, links to articles, etc is greatly appreciated! Thanks!Chris

Reply:Thanks, So is there no such animal? I guess I have seen stick /tig machines, but not all three in one unit?
Reply:Check Miller,Lincoln or HTP 's web site. They do make a multi process machine,But I think it is a DC only machine. That will limit you on your tig for alu. Kevin Try this link:http://www.htpweld.com/products/mts/index.htm Hope it worksLast edited by mopar74; 12-27-2007 at 02:23 PM.

Reply:Yup, I build them. Look into the Miller XMT350 Inverters.
