what filler rods do you use for welding stainless steel and aluminim
Reply:Depends what grade of SS. Usually 308L or ELC, 309, 312, 316 are the usual ones i use. For Al 4043 or 5356 are the most common. It all depends on the application and service eviorment. If the part needs to get heat treated or anodized all those kinds of considerations need to be addressed. --Gol'

Reply:I belive there is an alloy that joins the two together. It's a brazing process which uses A1 flux... But I don't know what the filler rod is.Common sense in an uncommon degree is what the world calls wisdom. |
