I am working on a project here at work that will ultimately require automated welding (TIG).  What I am looking for is leads on a good manufacturer of this type of equipment or an outfit that deals in this type of automated welding. On a side note, I TIG welded up the samples they testing at this moment and thus far there are no problems  A sister division tried to do it for 2.5 yrs and kept screwing it up.....I learned of this, got some samples and TIG welded them and sent them off....if it works its about 3/4 of a million bucks for our division which despirately needs it to keep our people employed.  Keep your fingers crossed for us!   Thanks.Best Times with 434 Naturally Aspirated Vette60 - 1.261/8 -  6.37@ 107.25 MPH 1/4 - 10.08 & 134.9MPH1/4 - 9.60@144MPH

The robot??And then, after so much work...... you have it in your hand, and you look over to your side...... and the runner has run off. Leaving you holding the prize, wondering when the runner will return.

Reply:Have you spoke to Thermadyne about plasma welding? May also be a method to be looked at.  Their Technical Support is at 1 800 462 2782. They should be able to get you in touch with an application Engineer also.ThanksGene

Reply:I believe Miller and Lincoln both offer the robotic tig machines. If they are going to spend that kind of money they should also look into Lincolns STT process.The difference between art and craft is the quality of the workmanship. I am an artist.
