Best welding book

Does anybody know of a GOOD welding book that teaches basics of welding and then another book that teaches advanced welding?Please let me know.

Reply:Lincolns "Procedure Handbook of Arc Welding" is the best I have seen, pretty much covers it all, and tells you where to go for additional and more in depth info.The difference between art and craft is the quality of the workmanship. I am an artist.
Reply:The best book is "The one you "write" yourself thru experience".....zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
Reply:As far as basics go with pictures of techniques, typically mistakes, etc, "Welding Principles and Applications" by Jeffus is a good one as well.  For the price that the Lincoln books cost, they're a must have though, especially Metals and How to Weld Them.
Reply:Check your local library for "the Science And Practice Of Welding" by A. C. Davies. Lots of good stuff. If it can be welded he tells how to.
