I'm thinking of buying an LN-25 feeder.       The main purpose will be innershield.      I'm not real educated on this item as far as the difference between the  older models and what extra features the new ones have, or if the new ones are as good.    I'd like to hear any likes or dislikes anyones had with LN-25.

Reply:I have 2, both are about 20 years old.  No contactor,  just a gas valve.  I paid Just over $1,000 for one new.  I think they will keep going for ever.  I have burned up a LOT of wire through one mostly hooked up to an engine drive and .045 wire.I know nothing about the PRO model. Its a great wire feed.  Nuff said.DavidReal world weldin.  When I grow up I want to be a tig weldor.
Reply:I own several LN -25's as well the Miller 12sv both have good and better pointsThe LN -25 fine money making machine I too would suggest the one with the on board contactor and gas valve.Jimmy
Reply:I too have an LN-25 and also a thermalarc Hefty. I use the LN-25 and someone else is stuck with the Hefty. That should tell you something. If I remember correctly if you don't have the contactor you always have a hot gun. I too would recommend getting the contactor and gas solenoid. Much cheaper than having it added later and it also gives you a lot more capability. My LN -25 is approximately 20 years old as well. Like anything I have ever had that said Lincoln on it if well cared for it seems to last forever. The difference between art and craft is the quality of the workmanship. I am an artist.
