I am building gauge wheels for a tractor implement I am building. Gauge wheels are more or least caster wheels. The sides will be welded to a top plate where it will pivot. I want the sides square with the top plus I want the axle shaft square also. Should I put a spacer in the lower end and tack in to keep the lower part from warping when I weld it in??Thanks,DanMy instructor said someone will catch on fire during class...He wasn't joking!!
