Reply:I have the Thermal Arc 185, but haven't used the Syncrowave 200 so can't give any comparison. I can say that the TA185 is alot better deal than the TA200 and all you're missing out on is 15 amps more output and the ability to run it on 3-phase. I don't have 3-phase, so the 185 made the most sense to me for about $500 less. That $500 paid for the water cooler and everything needed to hook it up .MM350P/Python/Q300MM175/Q300DialarcHFHTP MIG200PowCon300SMHypertherm380ThermalArc185Purox oaF350CrewCab4x4LoadNGo utilitybedBobcat250XMT304/Optima/SpoolmaticSuitcase12RC/Q300Suitcase8RC/Q400Passport/Q300Smith op
Reply:I am looking at the TA because it is an inverter welder and IOC has them for $2237 the 185 is $1987. How would you compare the 185 to a syncrowave 200. I am looking for a good quality welder I can learn with. For the money the TA is a good price and it will save me on my electric bill. But I want the best welder I can buy for the money. Thanks Justin
Reply:Of the inverters, the TA is the best buy for the money, in my opinion. I taught myself to tig on mine. If you stay off the advanced features while learning, you will do fine learning with a TA. I cant compare it to a Sync, sorry.MM350P/Python/Q300MM175/Q300DialarcHFHTP MIG200PowCon300SMHypertherm380ThermalArc185Purox oaF350CrewCab4x4LoadNGo utilitybedBobcat250XMT304/Optima/SpoolmaticSuitcase12RC/Q300Suitcase8RC/Q400Passport/Q300Smith op |
