Im a mig welder now with some tig experiance. Where i currently work its mainly Mig machines w/ spray arc transfer. I have a weld test today at a new company. I have tested on 3/8 plate up hill before but im nervous about this one. Its 1" plate beveled 30 degrees w/ a 1/8" gap up hill. The way i tested on the 3/8's which had a bigger gap was a root, two stringers on either side of the root, grind it and run the cap. I havnt tested on 1" at all or with flux cored before. I can flux cored weld but i have only ran it up hill once any tips would be greatly appreciated!!!
