How much more % wise is it more than cold roll or hot rolled?

Reply:Generally you don't buy galvanized stock.  You but your stock metal, fabricate/weld it into parts, THEN galvanize it, because A) you'll have to spray your welds down with that nasty zinc based paint after you weld galvanized otherwise it'll just rust, and B) welding galvanized SUCKS!  Dirty, dangerous fumes, clogs up your nozzle fast, etc, etc...If you have a truck you might be better of buying regular black steel and make up what you want, then take it to have it galvanized (if it's tubing of any kind, make sure you drill holes in it in the right places to allow the liquid to escape during the galv. process)."A winner isn't someone who doesn't lose, a winner is someone who doesn't quit."

Reply:The American Welding Society did a 19 year report on galvinized steel boats.The results were very good.
