I have a Lincoln 180t & what i would like to know is there any difference in the Lincoln cooper coated wire versus the Hobart carbon wire.will i get just as good a weld with the Hobart wire. thanks for your advice

Reply:There should be no difference. most solid mig wires are grouped into Classes. (ER 70s-6) etc.... That is what tells you what type of wire it is. Most times each manufacturer has there own name for their wire, but it still fits into the classification.I'm a Lover, Fighter, Wild horse Rider, and a pretty good welding man......

Reply:In reference to the posting i did on the copper coated wire i was completely wrong on the product.my mistake for not reading & looking at product more closely.I was way off base. Thanks for not critizing to much------ still learning
Reply:Generally all mig (solid) wire is copper coated (it's a copper alloy with other stuff in it to protect against rust and it has added 'scavengers' in it which help bring contaniments to the surface).
