Got my new policy.  Carrier is Nautilus Insurance Co.  Scottsdale, AZ.  These are the only guys I found who don't throw every welder into the same class.2 million coverage for $1867coverage is specific for Metal Erection -in constructions of dwelling not exceeding 2 stories in height. and Metal Erection - decorative or artistic.Last year my policy was less than $960, based on payroll same coverage.  I don't recall the rate but it is x$ per 1000 of payroll.hope this helps somebody looking for Insurance.

Reply:I've got coverage through Nautilus as well.  $1M for (in layman's terms) on-site repair of heavy equipment, minor structural repairs and modifications, inert gas and water process piping, and light stainless steel fab for railings and such.Coverage also includes my tools and welders.  Premiums with financing are about $2200/year.Benson's Mobile Welding - Dayton, OH metro area - AWS Certified Welding Inspector
