Reply:you get what you pay forcyberweld .com has good kits no tax no shipping
Reply:A lot of the "compatible" torch sets generally only mean that a Victor/Harris tip will fit the thing. If you have trouble with O rings or diaphrams, seals etc.  it will be difficult to get parts."Any day above ground is a good day"http://www.farmersamm.com/
Reply:Most of the tools in my garage are the only one of that tool that I ever bought, because it lasted. I bought my Craftsman (Harris) O/A in 1977 and I can still buy parts for it.Looking at your sig, I see that you bought 3 MIGs to end up with a good one. No reason to buy 3 torch sets, start with a good one. Buying the good stuff saves money.Buy good tools, you'll have them for the rest of your life. Harris, Smith or Victor. Buy the one your local weld shop sells, so you can get parts for it. IMHO9-11-2001......We Will Never ForgetRetired desk jockey. Hobby weldor with a little training. Reply:Craig is telling you the truth. Most of the cheap torch sets are throw-aways. That means that if you need it repaired you throw it away because there are no parts available. I guess with the price of brass you could sell it for a few bucks if it dies.Go to your LWS and buy one of the good ones. Yes, it will cost more but it will last and if you do need help your dealer will be glad to help you because you bought it from him. My son has my Victor rig I bought in the early '70s and it is still going strong.
Reply:when i first started out i got a 110 v linvcoln mig and a torch set like the one you're considering.i had some problems with the torch-acetylene regulator failed, could be it was my fault..the orings  in the cutting torch failed and i had a hard time finding something that would work..but the torch handle and the 4 welding tips and rosebud  are still the ones i use-- i bought a nice smith set which i cut with, and  a bunch of welding tips for it   but the first set of  welding tips  seems to be better than the smith and i use them to weld..point is for the money you wont go wrong..
