ok so i have a predator pro cc/cv machine in the back of my truck. the problem is for some reason i can not weld on my truck as long as the machine is touching the truck. when i tryed it i got like full power and melted my rod right out of the stinger within a few seconds. does anyone know what the deal is with this? is it normal?

Reply:I would check the wiring diagram ASAP. Somthing is wrong with the way it is grounded if what you said is true. Even with GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupt) it should not go to full amperage.
Reply:I would check the diagram but i wouldnt know where to start or what to look for. the machine works awesome as long as i am welding away from the truck, but i have a vise hooked up in my trailer hitch and when i try to weld something in the vise i get full power and you can really till the machine does not care for it lol
Reply:weve got one where i work its complete **** its cheap if thats the machine they send out to me i always try my best to tear it up so they will send me one of the lincolnsComplete Fabrication Shop specializing in pipe fabrication. Also offering heavy steel fabrication and sheet metal work.
