Since I started welding (mostly done outside) I've noticed I get a major glare from behind the helmet making it extremely difficult to see what I'm doing.. I have draped towels over my head to keep light from entering the back of the helmet, but realized this weekend when welding my roll bar in, that is a bad idea when it caught fire. lol! so.. I ask, what do you all do to keep light glare from entering the rear of the mask?www.thefusionsolution.com
Reply:Most people I know have used scrap from old leather jackets. Same goes for protecting the neck.

Reply:Find a place that sells leather near you and buy some. Thats what I did when I made the piece that goes around the bottom. It's not that expensive and it beats smelling old sweaty leather jacket pieces. For my neck piece between the leather and the machine screws, fender washers, and nuts I was below $5.
