Newbie Question

Hey ya'll.. I'm new here and new at welding. Just wanted to ask if anybody here have used a Smith & ARROW brand of cutting disc (http://stores.shop.ebay.com/smith-an...__W0QQ_armrsZ1). My friend told me it was the cheapest in the market. Anybody has a comment (+ or -), I'm eager to here and learn what you have to say. Thanks.

Reply:The cheapest face value shouldn't be the main criteria when looking for grinding/cutting disks. Performance as well as affordablility are what make up a true value. One of the better things you can do for yourself initially is purchase singles of several brands common to your area. Doing this can give real hands on experience as to what others are meaning when they say one brand is good and another is no good. Buying bulk online without prior knowledge on that particular brand can leave you crying in your beer.
