hello, ill have welder trade cert, pipe welding cert, pressure welding cert, tssa, and cwb cert, i live in canada, how likely is it ill beable to find a job after i get my certs, and what might the startig pay be? any info on the next step in my journey would be useful and appreciated.
Reply:Things out west (Alberta) have slowed down somewhat but if you really look, I'm sure you will have no problem.Have you considered joining any of the construction unions? Reply:boiler work is alot of fun, just dont be closterphobic or afraid of heights! Generally requires you to attain a chrom-moly pressure ticket, depending on the grade of chrome in the boiler. I personally do boiler maintainece on our coal fired boiler at the generating station. Very large units, so theirs no shortage of leaks or tube ruptures. Its definatly rewarding work i believe.

Reply:^I live in Barrie.I'm going to be honest. It's not going to be easy getting a job. Although you will have many more cert than I do. I'm only CWB cert'd.I'm having such a hard time landing a job where I don't get laid off 4 months down the road.P.S.How did you get all those certs and where?
