Thanks everyone for the great answers to my last post .It is a real priviledge to be able to access so many expert artisans.i have another question for you.If the tinsmith apprenticeship doesnt work out i would like to take the welding test for the boilermakers 455 in sheffield,Alabama.I am not cocky,i would not be taking the pipe test but the plate test.Does anyone know what i will need to do and how i should prepare?will I be better off trying for chattanooga?Any help will be greatly appreciated.Lightningrod
Reply:Where are you located? The reason I ask is it seems we are both in the same general on the map. Afar as 455 goes, I'd take the heavy wall  tube test. Your odds increase for the good if you pass it and get in the commonarc system.Last edited by hillbillyfab; 07-31-2009 at 10:56 PM.
