Hi, I just registered and left a message in the MIG forum, but I could not start posting anything before saying that this site, especially the welding projects section will benefit tremendously from the recent immigration of brains coming here. Personally, I owe a lot of what I know to them, and soon you will see why. It is a pleasure for me to be in this site.Alfredo
Reply:Yea, I supose I should be gratefull and all .  But why?  I been hearing how this site is going to be real great and 80% of the posts are about a couple of Chinese motors and some dude named Rock.  Oh, and the rest of the posts are about how great the people are that just recently came here are and how much better it will be around here.  I am thankfull about one thing, I did not know about the hobart site.  I went over there just briefly to check it out.  Looks like there are plenty of members logged on and lots of posts about Welding, techniques, projects, cool stuff like all the fabrication shows on the tube.  I will probably join there too.  Probably a lot of interesting searches over there.  Thank You for the link.  I really wonder where the "sheep" are?
Reply:I also have just registered tonight and found this site from being on the Hobart site. I also believe that this looks like a very good site, well set up and I had no trouble registering. There are a lot of very good people with a lot of good information here. I will also probably still keep checking on the Hobart site to see what happens there. I am quite computer illiterate but I very much enjoy reading you guys' posts. I am a retired farmer and still very much like to weld. I brought my welder along to town when I retired and bought the Plasma later.Welder- Miller Thunderbolt AC 225-DC 150 Plasma cutter, Miller Spectrum 300O/P torch- Victor 100
Reply:1grnlwnIt's too bad that you had to happen by at the  transition time, with not ever getting the whole experience from the Former Hobat site. If you had, you would understand what where eveyone is comming from. And then also no where we are going in the future. Rock, was not "just some dude". As far as the sheep go, If you are that lonely,I'd give women one more try first, but hey do what you gotta do.
