Reply:I built my own four link rear suspension for my Jeep. there are a few other guys on here that have done the same. In the world of Rockcrawling, sooner or later you will need a welder/ or weldor. For our rollcages we are using DOM tube in various diameters and we use a JD2 bender to bend it.
Reply:I bought a 74 K5 Blazer about four years ago that neede a lot of work. I welded in some new body panels, new floors, and a roll bar ( will be a cage when I get some extra money). I have a Licoln weld-pak 100 with the mig conversion and it does a great job.Rush
Reply:Oh yeah, and I am using a MM210.
Reply:I do my own bodywork and fab. Rollcages are left to the PRO's.A. I don't own the equipment to meet the sanctioning bodies rules
Reply:I do cages. Nothing professional. Don't charge money, can't afford the liability... I DO own a host of tools, and other than GTAW capability for CroMoly, could meet most sanctioning standards for most cage-requirements. Reply:I do rollcages as well. NHRA rules state that mild steel only needs to be MIG welded, and Chromoly must be TIG welded. I havnt had any problems with inspection so far, the welds all seem to pass.www.jmfabrications.comLincoln Precision TIG 375Lincoln Precision TIG 275Lincoln Power MIG 255Lincoln Power MIG 140CMiller Dynasty 350 (x2)TD Cutmaster 80
