Reply:Anti, you done struck the MOTHERLOAD blacksmith shop there. Now, if you weren't a man of high moral fiber, you'd be posting that equipment for sale on ePay, so yuppies can decorate their living room with a postmount drill press in fine condition, and smiths can salivate over the handcrank forge blower.Being the man of high moral fiber ya are, put new batterys in the metal detector and get back to the dig site. Dig out the rest of the hammers, drills, and fullers, along with punches and other hand tools. Somebody probably already beat you to the anvil.Appreciation Gains You Recognition-
Reply:Actually, no metal detector needed. Its all on this old farm near my farm. There is a lot of neat stuff there i found, I found a bunch of old blacksmith tools all over the farm, I am gonna take a bucket up there someday and pick it all up. If I sell any of that stuff, I will probably sell it on here first. I dont have a lot of use for it and would rather see it go to someone who will use it. Although i heard the old wrenches for tractors and such are bringing upwards of $300 a piece on ebay, and I have been wanting to buy a plasma cutter.
Reply:What a blast from the past. That old welder,Marquette AC buzzbox was my very first welder. Bought it for 80.00 back in early 80's. Worked the heck out of it, never a lick of trouble. Was one HEAVY machine too. All two guys could wrestle into a pickup that was for sure. Good finds, good luck with the future treasure hunting. |
