Having decided that I could really use a small box scraper with my garden tractor, I built one. Here's how it turned out: http://www.wheatfarm.com/box_scraper/index.htmlI still need to finish up some bits like rounding off edges and painting it orange to match the tractor.Last edited by ttyR2; 06-15-2004 at 12:51 AM.
Reply:I don't know anything about grading, so I can't comment on your design, but it looks like you've done a very nice job on building that. Once painted, it'll look "factory".I want to find a source of inexpensive vinyl transfers so I can start applying my own "brand name" on projects like that as I finish them up. I would use the same colors each time. and the logo would complete the "professional" look...not to mention simplify theft recovery for the police. At the Lake
Reply:About vinyl transfers. I work in a metropolitan area, I see quite a few sign shops around. The ricers (import autos) have alot of "special" things made there. The quality of the material looks real good. I'd look in the yellow pages for "sign shop" and see what comes up. No doubt they could even make something from a computer design that you make yourself. I don't know about price though.MillerMatic 175Thermal Dynamics Drag-Gun PlasmaAirco Bumblebee AC/DC SMAWVictor Super-Range II oxy/act
Reply:BikeI thought of the same thing as Malibu. Sign shops can make about any kind of transfer. They have better materials than vinyl nowadays too. There is a pretty fair sign shop in Spring Branch just north of the Antler on 281 at 46. I use One Day signs on Broadway in San Antonio for my trucks. All my decals are Mylar and something else that is a mouthful. My dump trucks haven't torn them up yet. Cedars and the like can be rough on finishes.Don |
