I seem to have a problem with the inside of my helmet lens fogging up from my breathing. So I find myself holding my breath and then trying to blow downwards out of my mouth. Any solutions?
Reply:take the lens and rub it with a dry bar of soap. wipe that off with a paper towel. voila..you back in business...
Reply:Another option along those lines is to smear a little dish soap or shampoo on the lense and then rub it off, works great when playing hockey.
Reply:The dryer fabric softener sheets work good for this too. Have your wife save some of them after they've done their work in the dryer. Don't use a new sheet as it will provide too much fabric softener. Wipe the lense down with one of these and it will stay clear for days. They also work great for keeping the dust from sticking to the TV screen. A wipe with one of these once a month will keep the screen clear of dust by preventing the build-up of static charges. Reply:Most motorcycle shops sell antifog sticks for the inside of crash helmet shields.I cant recall the name but it works great and lasts a long time between applications.FelonCaution lurker lives here" hmmm That is serious, pass the ganja and pick up a 24 of MGD"
Reply:You can use baby soap or use anti-fog spray for paintball masks.
Reply:I tried the bar soap, definitely helped. Thanks,Any of you all use a Speedglas helmet with the battery powered blower and filters?I think that would help to keep the lens clear also wouldn't it?
Reply:glad to hear it helped. ingredient in the soap that keeps it from fogging is glycerin. that can be used as well, just seems bar soap is always around..
Reply:Breath out your nose silly lol. If it's super cold out and even that doesnt work grab a dustmask and wear that.
Reply:Put a light bulb in your mask for 10 mins before you start..Heat the cover up and go.Or just wear it in the up position and have a coffee..The heat from your head is sufficant.....zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
Reply:a quick and dirty trick borrowed from scuba diving, spit on inside of the lens and wipe all around with a water soaked paper towel. Good in a pinch. |
