I am close to buying a new Lincoln Inverter machine, probably the V205-T AC/DC unit so I can do some Aluminum welding too.I would be primarily welding .083 CM, .125 CM, and .134 MS, at a very low rate/volume (perhaps one 1.625 tube an hour at most).I have 100 AMP service in my house, I would run the machine on both 110 and 220, however I don't have any special wiring as yet in my house (and I do not want to burn it down of course).I do have a clothes dryer plug in right next to my garage door, so I was thinking I could have an adapter of some sort for the short term until I get a 220 setup in my garage (which I plan to do as soon as I get the machine, I would have a certified electrician do the work). So, bottom line folks, am I making a big mistake doing the above (perhaps there are some issues I am not aware of, although I've tried to follow the threads on this site related to the machine and wiring in general which I have found very helpful), perhaps I should consider the Miller 200 as an alternative (not sure).Any feedback, advice, opinions on what I am contemplating would be appreciated.Regards to all.Working on cars and bikes is my hobby, learning to weld the pieces together is my quest.
