Reply:screw it together, put some pressure in it and test with soapy solution..
Reply:It will depend on the Maquette tips you have. Harris made Maquette equipment for a while. If it is not the Marquette made by Harris you will have to find a used Maquette handle for your tips to work. If you could send a few pictures of your tips in a PM I might be able to ID which torch handle they fit. When you take the pictures, put the end that connects to a handle on a ruler or tape measure that will allow me to see the approximate diameter of the mixer.I would not attempt to use or test these tip with just any handle. In almost all equipment today, the welding tips have two o-rings. One o-rings seals the connect from external leaks, one o-rings keeps the oxygen and fuel seperate. I have seen tips and cutting attachments screw on and seem to be sealing, only to find that the inner o-ring is not sealing, resulting in a flash back. Unless you have the proper test tools, it is impossilble to know if the o-rings are sealing correctly without the possibility of a flash back at the connection joint.Hope this helps,JimOAdoctorwww.regulatortorchrepair.com |
